We understand that sometimes genuine mistakes are made or unforseen circumstances prevent an appointment being attended or cancelled.
Unfortunately, lots of appointments and clinical time are lost each week through non-attendance, which wastes an opportunity for another patient to receive the care that they need.
On the first occasion that an appointment is not attended we will send you a leaflet explaining the impact of that.
If there is a further occasion where an appointment is unattended without reasonable explanation then we will write to you personally to explain the impact again and ask for your co-operation as part of your registration as a patient at the practice.
If there is a third occasion when that happens then we will review your registration and may ask you to register elsewhere to receive your medical care.
